This is a beginners guide and tips section for new comers to Incursions. You can also find individual Incursion guides at eve-survival.org
Drones and Settings
In Incursions, your drones can accidentally set off a new spawn that can come in and wipe your fleet out. You don't want this... To prevent it, you need to set your drones to passive. Also making sure Focus Fire and Attack and Follow are enabled.
Targetting and Broadcasts
- Go into the Fleet Window and select the History tab.
- Next under Filters, select: Broadcast history.
- In there you can see broadcasted targets. You can easily target them by holding Ctrl and clicking on the Broadcast.
Broadcasting
It's helpful to broadcast that you are needing armor/shields or if your cap is running low. It may be best to broadcast as soon as you start taking hits if you have most of the agro in the pocket. You should also make sure you're broadcasting to Everyone.
Auto Target 0
- Press Esc on your keyboard to open the game options.
- Click on the General Settings tab.
- Set "Auto Target Back" to "0 Targets"
How to Align
- First, move your camera around to line the gate up looking down it like the barrel of a gun.
- Depending on whether you are above or below the gate, double click the space shown in red below to get your ship aligned with the gate.
- There is also a star in the center right above the gate when you are looking down the gate like gun sights. You can align to this star in any position around the gate and you will be aligned correctly.
- Once aligned, you will warp as soon as you click the warp icon without having to spin your ship or accelerate it.
Overview Tags
- While running Incursions, your FC will either tag targets or have someone tag for me. You will need to follow these tags as they are called and in that order. So it's important to have tags viewable in your overview. Without them, you'll have a hard time figuring out what to shoot.
- Open your Overview Settings by clicking on the lined icons on the top left of your overview.
- Once in your your overview settings, go to the Columns tab. Tick the Tags on (will be an x in the box) and drag it to the top of your list. In this list, top to bottom translates into left to right on your overview columns.
- You can enable the Velocity column if you want, but it isn't needed. It is however useful to see what ships have been webbed and how slow they've been pinned down to.
